Sandra Whiting and Susanne Newbold collaborate on the handmade books and the gourd vessels. The book covers are designed from hand pulled monotypes. the paper is 100% acid free suitable for pen, ink, pencil, and watercolor. The books are hand bound using the coptic and kettle stitch. The gourd vessels are created using leather dyes, acrylic paint, coiling, pyrography, carving, weaving, and found objects. These unique vessels are all one of a kind art pieces. The monotypes are hand pulled on their etching press, using inks and oil paints, with colorful, abstract content.
